any thoughts it has stumped me good cleaned with salt away, flushed .

I have been told there might be a washer gone bad under the power head, and the water tube, a defect of sorts on these Engines,

I had a simular problem brought to the shop they had to take the engine off there was something caught in the base restricting the water flow

        1988 yamaha 150 overheating.....strange

I cleaned the heads and jacket, water risng to top of head and thermostat OK, poppet value OK. I have not inspected the water pump since water is flowing well. Other than the engine not getting enough oil (2-stroke) i have no friggen idea what is overheating. anyone have an idea?
