Multi function round tach diagram four stroke

On the back of the Tach is 2 plugs one is to trim sensor with Black, Purple, Orange, and Gray this plugs directly into the harness with matching colors. The other plug for oil sensor has Green, green/red, blue/white, white/red, this will plug into the matching harness. The question is, I have small harness for this group that goes in between the connections to only connect make green, green/red hot and it does not use Blue/white and white/red. Do is use the connector in between?
