Tie bar kit

Was looking at a new tie bar kit for 89 200s. The new kit doesn't use rod ends are in the catalog pic. Is it better or should I stick with the rod end type. Or, are there rod-end type kits still available?

Here is the newer Yamaha dual tie bar but it does have ends.

Is that supposed to be better than the older rod-end type? Or should I buy new rod-ends for mine?

The ends are hard to find for some tie bars and they usually are very expensive.
