Yamaha 25hp Flat spot

My Yamaha 25hp starts and idles well, but as i twist the throttle to increase
speed the engine `die`s`. If i twist the throttle fast , i can overcome this flat spot , and the engine runs well in the mid to upper speed ranges, any
idea`s please,

check your carbs and cleean

open up yor carb and clean it, if that doesnt work try richening your air/fuel mixture by opening 1/4 turn counterclockwise up to 1/2 turn.

Thank`s for that waltdiggity, outboard has only done 6 hours running from
new, so would probably rule out dirty carbs, will have a go at mixture adjustment,
