  • Flywheel nut thread pitch- Pro V 150

Anyone know what the thread diameter and pitch is on the flywheel nut for a ProV 150? Any chance its the same as an old 200HP Mercury Black Max?

Gotta pull the motor off the boat tonight, and forgot to get a lifting ring. Was going to make one from a nut and some other odds and ends. Or use the one for my merc if it will fit.

    Thanks.

    Lift ring...

Isn't there a lift ring on the top of the motor already? You can use that if its there. I use the screw on lift ring for pulling the powerhead off, but just to lift the motor off the transom that one just behind the flywheel will suffice.
But anyway the flywheel nut is a metric 20 x 1.0 if I remember right.

        Bigfish...

You didn't say what year motor it was. But no the 225 uses a slightly larger nut on the flywheel, 24 x 1.0 if I remember right.... but double check the pitch. I don't have one handy to look at right now.
