Replacing sending unit

I have a 115 yamaha and the notorious digital guages. The sending unit is rusted and one of the leads has rusted from the sender plate. There are a total of 4 wires going to the sender. Two green(attached to screws on the sender plate), One pink(attached to screw threads that are in the middle of the send plate), and one black that is not attached. My questions do I need a particular type sending unit to work with the digital guages.
