Lower unit switch

hi I wanted to see if i can use the lower unit of a 1997 yamaha 225 saltwater series on my 1990 yamaha 200 ETXD.

It's a different part number but not sure what the difference is.

i had talked to a shop and they told me that it would fit. i just had to make sure that it was the same size (25). I just want to make sure dose any one else know for sure ???????? need help

Gearcase swap

The 225 is a 61A gearcase its bigger the than 200. the gearing is different
