Hello Boats.net,
Can I also received a pdf of the Command Link install manual for round gauges? I'm installing a NMEA 2000 net on the boat and would like to connect Command Link with NMEA 2000 using a MARE-003.
Thanks,
Mark

Does anyone have the installation instructions for the engine connection portion? I need to know which connector is the command link connection on the engine specifically for tach function and which is the connection for the speed sensor. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a question regarding the round fuel/speed gauge 6Y8-83500-11-00
I have a 2004 Yamaha F150 4-stroke
Right now it doesn't have any command link gauges, just the regular ones that came with the boat. Tach/speed/volt/etc.
If I want to connect the round fuel/speed gauge 6Y8-83500-11-00 now, then add the round tach 6Y8-8350T-11-00 later, exactly what do I need?
I don't want to use extra hubs that may not be necessary.
So, can I do the following?
Leave everything I have right now in place and...
Run the 6Y8-32521-41-00 wire lead from the motor
to the 6Y8-81920-01-00 multi-hub assy in my console
get power to the multi-hub with the 6Y8-83553-01-00 cable from IGN
install two 6Y8-82582-11-00 caps in the 2 unused device ports
install 6Y8-82521-21-00 3-ft pigtail bus wire to round fuel gauge.
Am I missing anything? I don't need a new ignition assembly or anything, right?
Or do I have to run the 6Y8-32521-41-00 wire lead from the motor to an single hub assy at the stern 6Y8-81920-11-00 then connect that to the multi-hub assy in the console with a bus cable?
What cable do I need to go from the round fuel gauge to the fuel tank and NMEA0183 from my GPS?
Is there a multi-hub with more than 3 device ports. Will be installing two 150's and need 3 displays, and would like to add a Command Link to NMEA2000 Gateway. So I need 4 device ports.
Hi Folks, I am installing all new 6y8 series displays on a previously sunken boat. Everything is new or overhauled. I did not have the pleasure of stripping the dash, so I have no idea how to connect the displays to the bus block, as well as fuel sensor, and power conections etc. I have been provided with an arm load of pigtails and short bus sections as well as the tachs, fuel, and speed guages.
I can't seem to find anything on the web yet as to how it all goes together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you onebtbldr@yahoo.com
start a seperate thread, the F350 is DEC controled and has almost nothig in common with the rest of the motors on this thread.
post the full engine model numbers and exaclty what code is appearing
Hi
I have just had a square Command Link tacho fitted to my boat, but it only shows a "dash" in the display area, and none of the other functions give any feedback as to what the motor is doing.
Is it possible that it is "locked?" and if so, how do I unlock it?
Please help
Chris
