bearing carrier puller

hello yamaha gurus
what kind of puller you guys use to pull the bearing carrers on yamaha lower units? is there any universal puller i can use on all models f90, c115, f150?
i am using 5/16 threaded rods but the threads goes bad too quick when hard to come off.
any suggestion?

Yamaha tool part number is YB-06207, they work better than threaded rod but still not very good.
