Got 2004 200 hpdi's. My starboard engine alarm comes on when i am going at slow speeds and will not shut off, the water temp light also flashes. I can cut the engine off for a minute or so and cut it back on and its fine. then after a while it will alarm again. After restarting the engine one time to shut it up i started it back up with no alarms going off so finally i ran the motors for about 30 or 45 minutes at variable rpms and wide open with no issues. they ran great and the impellers seem to be peeing water great. then on the way back in going slowly through a no wake the alarm on that starboard engine came back on. it seems to only sound when i am going slow. even flushing the motors at the dock there was no alarms going off. any idea what's going on? i just replaced impellers, spark plugs, oil, the whole 9 and like i said the engines seem to be cooling fine. ???

when you do waterpumps, do the stats and prv's. -
jb123 by stats you mean thermostats and what does prv's stand for. sorry i'm just a little slower than most. thanks for you help.Comment

yes thermostats and pressure relief or control valves.
you can purchase them right here,or the best prices and i would suggest doing both motors.Comment

one more thing jb and i'll leave you alone, i will need 4 thermostats for 2 motors and 2 prv's total. You think i'll need to order the spring with the prv's or just get the control valves? are these fairly easy to replace as far as ease goes? since your suggestion i've noticed alot of postings with this issue so hopefully this is my problem. thanks again.Comment
