OK..I have been messing with this thing for the last week trying to figure it out. Here is what I have found.
1. The oil is not coming from the main tank to the smaller tank on the side of the engine.
2. Oil is pumping from the small tank on the motor like it is supposed to. ( I can run the boat as long as I refill the small tank every so often, no problem, just a pain.)
3. The Low oil alarm is working fine.(whew)
4. When the oil alarm goes off, the oil pump does not start pumping oil into the small tank on the motor ( I am sure it should pump before the alarm goes off)
5. The oil pump works..took it off, checked connectons, and tested it.
6. No lines are clogged.
It seems to me that a sensor or something is not telling the oil pump to kick in when it needs to?
Any ideas? I am still running the boat since I can put oil into it manually ( could also pre mix if I knew how to disconnect the alarm) I would like to fix it myself if possible or atleast narrow it down before I take it to the shop.
Thanks
