  • fuelgage problem

My fuelgage reads full at all times unless i remove one lead from the sender unit, I have removed and cheaked the sender and get readings from 35 to 250 ohms . Need help with more troubleshooting and repair.

Remove sender lead from sender and touch it to ground, with key on gauge should read full. If it does then the sender is probably bad.

      fuelgage

I replaced sending unit and gage still reads full at all times while ignition is switched on. Is there anything else that i can check before i change fuel gage?

      Thanks Country boy

Wire between sender and gauge may be shorted to ground.

Must be a bad gauge then.
