Can someone tell me what the yellow & blue wires are for in the middle of this harness 6Y5-83553-N0-00 '04- '05 setup

Connect them togather and the backlights in gauges will come on when turn ignition key on or connect the blue wire to Nav light switch in boat to have gauge lights come on when turn nav lights on.

ok I am about to do this if i run to nav lights do I still connect yellow and blue together behind the tacho and run to nav light switch or do I just run the blue to nav light switch which one?

Either connect blue wire to nav light switch or to yellow wire on key switch, do not connect it to both.
