Oil Tank Harness

I bought an oil tank rigging kit p/n# 6yr-w0035-co to install on my 1991 250 txrp. Boats.net said this kit would work. The harness does not match the connector I have. Can I just cut the wires and splice? Or is there another harness that I need?

Adapter harness 6R3-82541-00-00 will connect them.

Wrong

I got the suggested harness from boats.net (6R3-82541-00-00) and it is close but wrong. It has the opposite connector on each end. Both ends are male when they should be female. Any help?

Look at part number on package,
6R3-82541-00-00 should be female on both ends
6R3-82541-10-00 should be male on both ends.

6R3-82541-00 is exactly whats on the package. I should clarify one end is male, one end is female.

It looks like the chart I have is wrong, it looks like you actually need the 6R3-82541-10-00 adapter.
