I wonder if any one can help me here.

I am looking to POSSIBLY rebore my Yamaha 200VMax 2002 model carburated converted to XL. The motor has about 450 hours and apparently in cylinders no1 and 2 the pins are worn and as per my mechanic the motor will need reboring, new pistons etc. APPARENTLY this is a VERY COMMON (??) fault with these motors.
Any way, I was wondering though instead of getting in to this trouble to have a new complete power head block (excl electrics) fited.
The question is if I keep the same everything on the engine can I put a new block from a 225 or a 250?
If yes would I need to change the carbs too?
In addition does any one know a company in the US that can supply a genuine new Yamaha block to Greece?
    Any info much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

To use the 225 you would need to use the 225 ignition system and carbs. We at boats.net can ship parts to you but cross reference model number to find correct parts would be the problem, the model numbers are different on motors sold in USA and 2002 V200 here is a fuel injected motor.
