1999 V Max 200 Speedo

I've got a 99 vmax 200 and the speedometer quit working, Any ideas?

If its digital and have no display check for power and ground at gauge, if it powers up but don't display speed then pickup in gearcase may be plugged up.

Where at in the lower unit do I check?

There is a small hole in front edge of gearcase thats probably plugged up. Disconnect small speedo hose, usually a splice just above gearcase that can be disconnected. Blow through hose towards gearcase, should be open.
