Lights on Digital gauges do not stay on

I have a pair of F150 engines with a total of 4 digital gauges. When running at night the back lighting does not come on with the running lights. When I press the mode key on any 1 gauge the back lighting comes on for maybe 1/2 minute and then goes off.

I'd like for the back lighting to stay on when I have my running lights on. I can not find any instructions on how to make this happen.

What am I missing?

What manual contains this information? Can I print the entire set of instructions for the instruments? What you listed was great!!! I'll give it a try this evening. I keep the boat next to my house.

I did not get any instructions on how to operate the instruments settings when I got the boat last year.
