  • Water Temp & Press Gages Explanation Needed

Could someone please explain which engines use water temp and water pressure gages ?? .......and why...?

What would be the "mean" reading for each one?

The engines that I'm familiar with (basic 2 stroke) have not had these indicators.(just the tell tale stream out the back to indicate that the pump is working)

    Thanks !!!

    Pressure Gauges

Our fleet in alaska use pressure gauges they fish in silty brackish water. pressure runs from 12-17 lbs when it starts dropping they have impeller changed lots of night fishing they can see the gauge not the pisser

The water pressure gauge is not recondmended on 60-70hp 2 stroke models.Water Pressure or water temp will work on 40hp 2 stroke models and up, four stroke 25hp and up.
