I am looking at a boat that is a ranger z19 2007 model. the dealership had put an 2004 225 on it in 2006. Brand new boat but rigged with a 2004 motor to keep the cost down i suppose for the purchaser.
I am getting a good deal on the boat and its like brand new. But my question is about the 225 and not being the HPDI. are these motors in 2004 dependable and do they drink the gas. I have a vmax150 carbed motor now. it uses the gas but very dependable. its a 2005. but really would like to get your input on this. If bad deal keep me from making a mistake. please
