F8CMH electric start??

Hey guys,

Just wondering if it is possible to get a kit, or parts to convert my 2008 f8cmh to electric start. If i take the cowling off, all the brackets etc seem to be there, and the high thrust T8 comes with electric start. Also the 9.9 comes with electric start so i wonder could you fit the starter from the 9.9hp either. Cos this new *hp takes one hell of a pull to start!!!

Ps I am in Ireland, but I'm willing to import the parts if I can get them.

No there are no elect start kits available.
You would need number 4 and all parts listed outside dotted lines from
Yamaha Outboard Parts 2006 and Later 4-stroke T8ELH 60S-1006138 STARTING MOTOR Diagram
Numbers 2,4 and 6-12 from
Yamaha Outboard Parts 2006 and Later 4-stroke T8ELH 60S-1006138 ELECTRICAL 2 Diagram
Numbers 4,5 and 6 from
Yamaha Outboard Parts 2006 and Later 4-stroke T8ELH 60S-1006138 ELECTRICAL 3 Diagram

OK thanks. Just to make sure I am reading this right.. in the first list (Yamaha Outboard Parts 2006 and Later 4-stroke T8ELH 60S-1006138 STARTING MOTOR Diagram) parts numbered 19,21 and 20 are not included in 4.... is that correct?? so i would have to order them seperate to 4??

Also on the electrical 2 diagram there is a washer shown as part 12, but on the ordering sheet below there is no part 12, but two parts 13, one of which is a clamp.

The first the diagram is not very clear, you would need 1-4 and 19-25.
