1986 150 - oil problem

I've got a 150 hp motor and the oil just keeps pumping. I have removed the oil valve from the small tank in the motor and turned it upside down - so to set off the alarm - and that works fine. However, oil just keeps pumping from the resevoir to the small tank in the motor. What's wrong?

That oil level sensor in the engine tank( the one you turned upside down) and the oil module controls oil flow. With the ign. switch on ground the White Wire at the oil level sensor it should shut off oil flow, If oil flow stops the oil level sensor is bad, If oil flow continues the oil module (the one below oil tank with toggle switch in it) is bad
