Aluminum Propellers For 8 hp

I have a 2005 model 8 hp on my 12 foot duracraft which I use for hunting and National Wildlife Refuge access. I seem to eat up the stock aluminum propellers. The aluminum seems thin and brittle. No stainless is available, should have bought a 9.9. Question : would the aluminum on the Michigan Match 102002 prop be a better quality, maybe thicker and/or less brittle ?

I cannot keep on buying a Yamaha 6G1-45943-00-EL prop every couple months.

I did a little research and it seems like all props start with 9.9 HP, who would have thought.

Anyway...maybe aluminum is a good thing, at least you are not destroying your lower unit.

Maybe someone will have a solution.
