  • Pressure gauges for 2009 4 Cycle 150

I'm buidling a Andros Bonefish 22 foot tower boat, with dual controls. I assume the new digial instrument panel for Yamaha has a temperature gauge on the lower station. The builder says that the Bonefish can run with the jack plate all the way up with no problems. Since the engine is on a jack plate should I use a pressure gauge on one of the helms. My mechanic says the 150 4 cyclce often runs such low pressures at times that this might be confusing.

Yes a water pressure gauge is a good idea when using a jack plate. If you are using Yamaha Command Link gauges you just have to install water pressure sensor on engine and gauge will read temp and water pressure. If not using Command Link you would need to install a water pressure gauge and sender.
