O2 Sensor Cleaning and Question

Dumb Question:
I am in the process of cleaning the O2 sensor on my 2003 200 OX66 (SX200TXRB). I have a question about the part that goes from the sensor bracket into the motor ("Joint" Part# 65L-11353-00-00). Should this joint have a hole through it? It looks like it should, but there is so much buildup I can't tell for certain.

Yes it should have a hole, probably plugged up with carbon. You will need to clean it and open hole back up.
