Pee hole water line bypassed???

Question... does anyone know why someone would bypass the water line to the pee hole? I have a yamaha pro v 150 that runs great but noticed during testing that there is no water flowing through the pee hole. I noticed that the line has been bypassed and can't figure out why.

No, I seen them with a tee in hose to operate a water pressure gauge.

thanks for the reply! i'm like you, i've seen the tee in previous motors as well. surprisingly even with the hose bypassed the water pressure gauge still works, and i have plenty of pressure!
