Prop washer nut?

I have an 05 F40 that I would like to put a Mercury Quicksilver prop on. I got the Mercury trust washer to use with it. My question is do I need any kind of washer between the prop and the prop nut? It doesn't seem like I do but I'm just not sure. Thanks

You will need to use Mercury lock tab washer or cotter pin which may need washer to align cotter pin hole.

Thank you. I was planning on using the cotter pin. I guess I just wasn't sure if I needed a washer between prop and prop nut as some sort of portection or seperation. Thank you
