I have a 1999 OX66 200 EFI.
Not running or idling properly, The starboard bank of plugs are very clean and wet with gas, the port Bank of plugs are black and dry. I observed this after running it. It will not start in neutral, only when the throttle is fully advanced, it then will only run 1400 rpm with throttle fully advanced. It will gradually pick up RPM and then suddenly scream. When I back off the throttle either quickly or slowly it wants to die or bogg. I am speculating the timing may be off. I have a repair manual, but it does not picture this clearly..... I want to know if the wire leads coming off the trigger/pulser face port at 90 degrees of the crank. I had to replace the flywheel as the small collar with the magnet slipped its position (spun), I believe that the trigger/pulser may have been rotated by the previous owner to compensate and line up the two.
I have the new Flywheel on and the pulser wires face directly port.
If I am not on the right track what are the other possible issues- CDI?
I believe the plugs are fouled at least some of them, I believe this happened as a result of the old flywheen and inproper timing. I have a new set now and will try as soon as i find out the proper orientation of the Pulser/trigger.
