water in gas, what to do

i have water in my gas tank and my engine stoped running so i drained the tank and i am putting in a new fuel filter so what else do i need to do before i try to start the engine. it is a 50hp 4 stroke with carbs.

drain carbs, pull plugs and turn over a dozen times or so.

Generally they have a screw drain on the side of the Carb Bowl.
