Another job to do this fall check or replace the 4 cylinder head anodes on my F200. I have not tackled this myself before, but it looks fairly straightforward, as in:
- remove anode assembly - single bolt offset from center of anode cover
- unbolt the anode from the anode cover
- replace anode and grommet on anode cover
- reinstall assembly
Any potential gotchas in the process? I am thinking to use anti-seize on the anode cover bolt where it goes into the head, but not on the bolt that holds the anode to the cover, to ensure a good electrical connection. Make sense?
