cold overheating?

hello
i have 2006 yamaha 40 two stroke and my overheating indicator is blinking(even if its cold machine) and the water is coming out of the machine normally,can anybody help me...

Overheating Blinking light on new 90 hp 2 Stroke

I am new here. I am looking for any suggestions concerning the overheating light blinking on my new Yamaha 90 AETOL 2 Stroke. The motor is brand new (3 hrs) and the overheating light started blinking at all times, even after two hours stopped. Then it went off on iddle and started again at around 1,200 rpm only. The cooling systems seems to be fine and water comes out with good pressure off the motor.
Any ideas ???

The gauge may be set for 4 stroke engines, Make sure third dip switch in back of Tach is set in down position.
