The trim switch on my throttle stuck on, overnight, and now I can hear the solenoid working, I checked it with a test light and it seems to be working properly..It is supplying juice to the wire that leads to the motor, but the motor isnt working, and does not get warm... is there a fuse or something inside the motor housing...
OK... I unhooked the blue and green wires from the selonoid, and hooked the wires coming from the trim motor directly to a Battery... The motor works... and tilts my engine just fine.. up and down....
so it has to be somewhere in the selonoid... but if I put a test light on the blue and green posts on the selonoid, it shows juice on each post, when I press the switch, and seems to be working properly... it just isnt...
any clues.....
any ideas?
I solved it... It was the relay for the PTT... It was either bad itself, and stuck on, or it was the throttle switch that stuck on, but the relay overheated, and has to be replaced..

Thanks
