the starter on my 91/90hp tlrp won't pop up to engage the flywheel to start the motor. the top gear on the starter spins but won't pop up.the battery is new.will I have replace the starter or just the relay. thanks everyone.Dan

make sure youre getting 12+v to starter and you can also lube the starter shaft/gear/spring. -

Got the time to really check things out on the motor.found and fix the problem .found top starter bolt work it's way out.found in motor houseing . did test on relay's all tested ok. going to put threadlock formula on starter bolts. I,m going to check all bolts and nuts from now on before and afterwards, each outing.Comment
