90HP ETLG Yamaha

I recenlty was up at the cottage and tilted the motor up as i glided to shore, when i was leaving the spot the motor would no longer drop.....any ideas on what the issue might be.....seems like the hydralics was stuck and just didn;t want to drop.
any thoughts are appreciated.

I have had a similar situation.

This may be complicated by a bad relay, wiring, mechanical etc of which I have no clue on your model.

However my engine would go up and down from the switch on the engine OK, but the remote didn't work sometimes.

On the Battery connection I found that the insulation on the trim lug was covering the lug and not making a good connection. I cleaned it up, scraped back the un-necessary insulation and it works great.

It is worth looking at.

If the elect motor is running but motor wont trim down then loosen the manual release screw on side of transom bracket to allow motor to trim down.
