  • engine light

I have a 2007 F150 that just hit 100 hrs. The engine light came on and the gauge mode switches to 100hrs when I start it. The only scheduled maintenance at 100 hrs is an oil change and inspection but how do I turn off the engine light? I haven't been able to find anything on the web.

The engine light is the water in fuel warning, clean engine fuel filter and check for water. Replace fuel/water filter in boat as well.

      F150 engine light

the gauge has a separate light for water in the fuel. This is a maintenance reminder. I had to take in in to the yamaha dealer and pay for an hours service just to reset the light. I found on the web that on some suzuki's, you turn on the key and toggle the kill switch 3 times to reset it. Does anyone know if this works on yamaha's

If it's Command Link gauge follow these steps.
            MAINTENANCE (resetting maintenance
            intervals)
You can reset the elapsed time from the
            previous maintenance interval (when the
            meter was reset).
            1. Turn the engine off and the engine start
            switch to ON.
            2. Press Mode button(4 seconds): To activate the custom
            mode.
            3. Press Set button To switch to the resetting display.
            4. Press Set + Mode button at same time (1 second): To reset the
            elapsed time to
            0h.

            5. Press Set Button(1 second): To return to the normal
            display.
            NOTE:
Press the Set button for 1 second from
step 3 to cancel the resetting of the elapsed
time and return to the custom mode selection
            display.

              engine light

Thank you very much for this information.

My friendly yamaha dealer charged me $138.00 for this.

Seems a little out of line for a 30 second procedure.
