Any ideas??

I have a 93 Sea Ray Laguna 13 with a 93 Yamaha 30 two stroke. Yesterday while driving about 26mph - all of a sudden the motor felt like it was cavatating - or free wheeling. So I came to a stop and the motor runs fine but as soon as you give any heavy acceleration it just free wheels or feels like it's cavatating. Any ideas as to what went wrong? Maybe something in the lower unit?

I'm no expert but it sounds like you may have spun the hub in the prop. Had that happen to me once, but I had hit something in the water. Hope this helps. Good luck. tgh3fan
