  • 2004 300HPDI with oil pump recall?

After the dealer update both engines, I have been having cold start concerns (starts on first try but will quit once or twice before warming-up. Also seems to be consumming more oil). I would like to check the oil rod setting to spec but I don't know if part of the recall incorporated a setting different than what I have specified in the service manul. Does anyone have any information on this recall's scope? I have the original service manual and can set everything to that spec but wouldn't want to do something that would go against the recall. At this point I don't trust the dealer to set it correctly and seeing that my boat sits in the water, it difficult and expensive to get them back here again. Any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    David

The oil linkage rod was 1 complete turn (~1mm) longer than what is spec'ed; would it be fair to assume that this would cause plug fouling concerns and to much oil useage?
      Thanks,

Does anyone have a feel for the sensitivity of this adjustment? e.g. will 1 turn long cause an average of 40:1 and 2 turns long an average of 30:1... Any experience with this calibration/oil delivery curve would be appreciated.
        Thanks,
        David

The adjustment only affects idle mixture and could be as low as 200:1.
