I have a Yamaha four stroke F115 that burns a quart of oil every 5 to 10 hours of use?... I bought a 4 stroke so that I wouldn't have to worry abour oil any more? Does anyone know why I might be burning so much oil. I currently have 80 hours on the engine and have put in over 10 quarts of oil.

You need to have it checked out to see what the problem is. Check the compression, it may need to run a shock treatment of Ring Free. Check to see if have the best prop , best to keep it on high side of RPM range. Check the cooling system thermostat, water pump and cooling passages, a cold running engine can be as bad as an overheat problem.
