200 hp ox66 oilleaks when motor tilted up

My 2004 200 hp ox66 drips oil out the lube oil tank on the motor when the motor is tilted full up. The dripping oil is coming out the lid that is also the level swiches. It appears the tank is always filled about 1/4" above the full mark, and I think this higher level is what runs out when tilted. Is the top of the oil tank on the motor supposed to be oil tight?
Anyone else have a problem like this?

The oil level sensor shouldn't be leaking even if oil level is a little over the full line, need to replace sensor.
