will 90hp fit on 70hp outboard

I have a blown 92 70HP yamaha and would like to know if a 90HP powerhead will bolt on to this unit.

No it will not. A 60 or 70 hp will, but when you go to 75, 85 or 90 hp block and everything else is different. Go to this site and look up the power head and it will tell you which years and sizes will fit your motor. http://rainboat.com/ I know this because I have been looking for a lower unit for an 1993 85 hp and had to cross reference the parts to what would fit mine.
