I am replacing my impeller, and thought it would be a good time to hit the oil seal at the top of the lower unit. I have 2 questions:
Do you really need the special tool "YB6096" called out in my Seloc manual? How much is this "tool?"
and
How in the world do I get to it? I removed the Protector Plate, and found a gasket that is not called out in any diagram that I can see. After that I am down to what I assume is the housing. This is round with a ~2" tab pointing toward the rear of the unit. The Seloc says 2 screwdrivers to "lift" out the housing, but there is no way without really maring the thing up. I have gone well beyond lifting, and am not moving anything with prying.
Does anyone have experience with this?
