Engine Trouble Please Help

ok, i have a 1989 yamaha 15hp. it got to where it would die when i turned it down to idle, so i bought a carb kit for it. cleaned it out good, replaced all gaskets and it still dies when turned down to idle. checked compression which was 120psi in both cylinders, replaced plugs and still the same thing. do you think i need to take the carb apart again and clean once more? im stumped.

Dirty carb is the most common reason for idle problems.

i took it off and cleaned it good again and it still does it. im thinking it might have low crankcase compression.

can having too much oil mixed with the gas cause it not to idle and die?
