Hi folks
can anyone give me some ideas on what could be the issue with my F115 longshaft o/b.
When tilited right up and all switched off , after a period of time it weeps engine oil. noticed,by it finding a route to run off the engine and down the inboard side of the transom.
I left the engine tilted down, she is on a mooring, on general inspection today I have noticed no oil on transom, but oil weeping from the water vent holes in the gear box leg. Its deff' engine oil not gearbox oil !
My thoughts are: is it an oil seal gone at the bottom of the powerhead,? oil is running down the drive shaft tube and into the cavity that connects to the gear leg?
Anyone had similar? its a year 2000 model and been looked after like a baby! Runs fine and no low oil warning indication at all
Cheers
