  • Ethanol And your HPDI

Well lets say that all of the info I got from this forum was great...Ethanol is a solvent so it cleans all your fuel tanks and so forth. There are 4 filters from the fuel tank to your high pressure injection,,,10 microns (water Seperators)filters are the way to go to help prevent all the gook passing thru your system.water seperator, primary, electric, and fuel strainer.I used ring free to shock my system and it sure did passed all the junk into my motor, after draining the fuel tank changing all the filters ,,some $80.I found the O2 sensor was so dirty with carbon that it needed to be soaked in acitone and the piston between the motor had to be scraped to get the gunk off.Symptoms of my issuses loss of prime ,motor stalling when hitting waves, not able to get more than 2500rpm,and running like crap..I used the new ethanol stabilizer from stabil and did a full service myself...Chiltons manual really helped me get thruogh it..So far running better than ever.this motor has been perfect for 4 years until ethanol so prepare to run on it slowly let the junk pass in stages and then it should have no problem after the inital workout..thanks to you all ,,Murfsound69 Cheers
Working...
