Warning buzzer sounds

I had the warning go off last trip and it was a constant tone. I vaguely remembered that constant was one thing and there were intermittent tones for other things. From what I can glean in the owners manual there is only type of warning and you have to look at the flashing on gauges to tell what is wrong. Is this accurate?

Yamaha warning system is only a constant tone, if you have Yamaha gauge the overheat and oil level lights are in the gauge to indicate an overheat or low oil warning.
