Lower unit re-install

Yam 2004 150 carb 2-stroke

After doing a water pump overhaul, what's the trick to lining up everything (driveshaft, shift spline and water tube) so it all goes back together properly?

If you have lower unit in neutral then may have turn engine flywheel to align drive shaft splines.

i tilt mine up all they way, takes some weight off... insert driveshaft, then twist lower unit a bit to insert shiftshaft , then align watertube, you may have to use a finger/screwdriver to get it right. if you rest lower unit on your knee or some other support that helps also.
