  • low water pressure--89' ProV150

I noticed the water pressure was only at 10 psi yesterday at full throttle. At idle speed it will drop to 2 psi. I just put in a new impellar in the water pump and now it will get up to 15 psi at full throttle and drops to 2 at idle. Any help would be appreciated.

Those are on the water readings. I don't know what the minimum readings should be, but I did notice that the tattle tale seemed to look weaker than in the past......it's still a steady stream just seemed to be less pressure. I'm worried that if I don't find out what's wrong, I could end up doing some damage running it with the lower pressure.

The mininum is 10 lbs at wide open and you wont get any reading at idle speed.

a couple years back I ordered parts......poppit valve was one of them. Didn't need it back then. Well, I decided to replace it yesterday.......the new design looked to be more efficient. My low water pressure problem disappeared.
