  • "91 115 "stutters" above 4500 RPM

I have changed the Water Seperator/ Fuel filter (my first guess), and ran a couple of cans of SeaFoam. It runs great and will run all day up to about 4400 RPMs when I push that last couple of inches it revs up to about 5000-5100, then after about 10 seconds starts cutting out and surges but stays at about 4300 RPM (avg). When I pull it back a bit, it will settle back in the low 4000-4400 range no problem.

i would suggest running motor on an auxillary tank hose and ball to rule out a supply side issue first.

the motor IS 17 yrs old... you might want to consider replacing hoses on motor as you may have some kind of airleak on motor and only feel it when there is a hi demand for fuel.

you can also run motor at night to look for any errant spark on coils, plug wires or coil leads.

have you replaced plugs recently? usually it is a clogged carb issue so if you havent cleaned them, then you should.
