Hello all,
I have a 2006 F60 TLR that will not run. I am 99% certain that it is the high pressure fuel pump, but I am suspicious of the regulator also.
Everything is clean, and flows freely up until it enters the high pressure fuel pump/vapor tank assy. Then, on the high pressure side output of the fuel pump, there, it is nearly dry, I can force a slight dribble with the squeeze ball, but that is all. The fuel rail is nearly dry, and when cranking, with the high pressure line disconnected, there is nothing coming out.
No pump noise when the key is on. The fuse is good, and I can hear a relay click, but nothing from the pump.
I have now removed, and disassembled the vapor separator assembly, and removed the fuel pump. When I bench check it, there is no motion at all, no whirring, or anything, just a single slight thunk noise, as the armature energizes, and then nothing else, as if it is locked up inside.
Does this sound like a fuel pump problem, am I on the right track? I never paid any attention to whether or not I could hear a pump when it was running good.
Thank you for any help.
