I have a '99 vmax 150 (ox66) and the digital tach is blistered. I have another guage, but it's not quite the same. I can't find PNs on the guages, so I'll describe them.
The original has the red, yellow, green squares at the bottom for oil level indication. There are no buttons at the bottom. The guage I would like to install does not have the colored squares, and has a "mode" and "set" button at the bottom. I don't know the yr of the replacement guage. Both guages have 2 square plugs plus several individual wires with bullet connectors.
I installed the replacement guage, matching colored wires and connecting the plugs, but there were several wires left over without matching ones. The guage did not power up.
Can this guage be used with my "99 ox66? Are there wires I need to jumper, or an adapter I need?
Thanks,
Greg
