9.9 fuel pump question.

I have a 2000 F9.9 and need to replace fuel pump. I understand they were redsigned in 2003 to include water cooling connections because of vapor lock problems. The replacement pump on this site does not show the water connections for the 2000. Will the pump for the 2003 work on my 2000?

The fuel part number will supersede to newer fuel pump kit that includes water cooled fuel pump and hoses.
